To keep your mirror looking it's best, we recommend regular gentle cleaning with a soft, lint-free cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials, as these may damage the frame or mirror surface. When cleaning the frame we would advise to avoid using any chemical by simply gently wiping the frame with a soft dry cloth. For cleaning the mirror glass for best results, use a non-ammonia glass cleaner applied to the cloth rather than directly onto the mirror.

With the right care, your mirror will remain a beautiful feature in your home for years to come.

Hang your mirror in a stable, well-supported position using appropriate wall fixings for your wall type. Avoid placing mirrors in areas of high humidity or damp, as prolonged moisture exposure can cause the mirror backing to deteriorate (known as "black edge" or "desilvering"). Keep away from direct, prolonged sunlight to prevent frame fading. Periodically check that fixings and hanging remain secure.

Do not use abrasive cloths, scourers, or harsh chemical cleaners (such as bleach) on the mirror surface or frame, as these can cause permanent damage. Never apply excessive pressure to the glass. Take care when handling as mirrors are fragile and edges can be sharp. This product is heavy; always ensure it is installed by two people and fixed securely to a suitable wall surface. Keep out of reach of children during installation.

Yearn Mirrors are not specifically designed for bathroom use unless stated as a bathroom mirror. Bathrooms can expose mirrors to higher levels of humidity, So we recommend against this. If you are unsure, our team is always here to help you choose the most suitable option.

Whilst our mirrors come with our universal wall hanging system, please refer to the products specific hanging instruction which can be found inside the box of each mirror. Whilst the wall hangers come pre-attached to the back, the wall mounting hardware which is specific to your wall type are not included.

Any form of cord wire or string must not be used when trying to install Yearn mirrors.

When a Yearn Mirror has been designed specifically as a Leaning/Floor Mirror the product comes complete with our Anti-tip safety system to stop the mirror from tilting forward. Our anti-tip device must be used when choosing a lean-to Mirror. It would be un-safe to free stand a mirror against the wall without the safety device as this could lead to a very serious injury.
